Georgia Junior Classical League · 2025 Election
Candidate for 1st Vice President
Bringing H.E.A.T. to Georgia's Classics Community
Hi! I'm Mokshi Gunduboina: food enthusiast, surprisingly competitive Clash of Clans player (TH 17), and deeply passionate about what the JCL means to students across Georgia.
Latin and the GJCL gave me opportunities and relationships I never could have imagined. Through MAC, I witnessed the true heart of the GJCL, a community bound together not just by the shared pain of decoding Vergil's poetry, but by late nights at fellowship, sneaking into the Middle School Ice Cream Social, and the bittersweet quiet when Rock Eagle's cabins wait another year.
I want as many students as possible to feel that. As your 1st VP, I'm running to build bridges between chapters, amplify student voices, and make sure every delegate finds the belonging that this organization can offer.
"Being a GJCL officer showed me what it means to belong to something greater than yourself. I want as many students as possible to feel that, and I want to repay what Latin and the GJCL gave me by helping other delegates find it too."
Led the Alae Mercurii and De Rebus Illustribus with a people-first approach: student spotlights, chapter features, and the launch of the GJCL Literature Magazine to give Classical writers and artists a platform.
Competitive Certamen player: 1st Place at Harvard, 3rd Place (twice) at Yale. Co-hosted Praetoria workshops including Meet the Officers, Certamen Bootcamp, and Local Chapter Publicity.
Active on the Membership Advisory Committee, focused on amplifying student voices and keeping chapters connected across Georgia throughout the year, the heartbeat of the GJCL community.
Because every GJCLer deserves to feel what this community can be.
