About the Candidate

A Voice for
Every JCLer

Hi! I'm Mokshi Gunduboina: food enthusiast, surprisingly competitive Clash of Clans player (TH 17), and deeply passionate about what the JCL means to students across Georgia.

Latin and the GJCL gave me opportunities and relationships I never could have imagined. Through MAC, I witnessed the true heart of the GJCL, a community bound together not just by the shared pain of decoding Vergil's poetry, but by late nights at fellowship, sneaking into the Middle School Ice Cream Social, and the bittersweet quiet when Rock Eagle's cabins wait another year.

I want as many students as possible to feel that. As your 1st VP, I'm running to build bridges between chapters, amplify student voices, and make sure every delegate finds the belonging that this organization can offer.

  • Reach feeder middle schools early to introduce Praetoria and Middle School Forum
  • Improve the GJCL Publicity Guide with clearer rubrics and promote the Publicity Contest at Praetoria and Fall Forum

  • Inter-chapter club meeting program pairing nearby chapters (Walton × Wheeler Ultimate Frisbee, Fulton County cross-chapter Saturnalia)
  • Dedicated social media section in the Publicity Guide, covering Instagram, Discord, and LinkTree are how chapters communicate now
  • Bi-monthly student spotlights on Instagram for schools without boards, in collaboration with the GJCL Historian
  • Regular Instagram and GroupMe updates on board progress, competitions, and opportunities
A Access for All
  • Bi-monthly fundraisers including Latin-themed merch, with proceeds directly supporting the Nancy Tarver Goodyear Scholarship
  • Coordinate events with MAC, Ms. Smock, and the board to keep chapters engaged during quieter months
  • Reach out to outlets like the Atlanta Journal-Constitution to publicize GJCLer accomplishments statewide
T Teamwork
  • Officer transition system with leadership check-ins for chapters recovering after turnover
  • Proactive outreach to new chapter boards so they know what to expect from day one
  • Make Praetoria a true MAC-led effort by gathering input on workshops and empowering qualified MAC members to lead sessions
Why I'm Running

A Community Worth Fighting For

"Being a GJCL officer showed me what it means to belong to something greater than yourself. I want as many students as possible to feel that, and I want to repay what Latin and the GJCL gave me by helping other delegates find it too."
